Caroline and Brooke were wonderful hosts – Caroline was flexible and communicated clearly on arrival times, and gave us some good advice on walking into town to find some food (we enjoyed a cosy night at the Quay Inn). Her and Brooke gave us plenty of space, but also provided a lovely breakfast and good conversation in the morning. The room is perfect for airb&b visitors – it has a large, comfy bed, its own sink (with a guest bedroom nearby), and is quiet and clean. It’s on the road-side of the house, but we didn’t hear any traffic noise. Wareham seems nice, although we didn’t have time to explore properly. Well recommended.

What a beautiful room and house in a charming town. It was a short 20 minute walk from the station. The bed was very comfy and it was quiet – a great night’s sleep. We loved every minute of our brief stay, especially chatting to Brooke over breakfast. Many thanks!

Stayed here for one night on my way back home and enjoyed a lovely homely feel with the most welcoming family. Lovely house, well decorated, and had everything I needed. Would visit again, and would 100% recommend.
I chose this B&B primarily for its location, because I was in Wareham for work and it was close to where I needed to be. The house is lovely. The coffee with a home-cooked breakfast was particularly good. Nice views out over the garden as well (shame the weather was not good). Caroline and her husband were very friendly and welcoming, in fact they went above and beyond expectations by giving me a lift to the station so I made the next train when my plans changed unexpectedly. Otherwise I would have had to wait another hour. That was very kind.

A lovely welcome in a warm and clean happy home ; was just the pick me up I needed after a long half term with multi- amounts of children at home. Thank you Caroline for meticulousness effort; stunning decor and comfortable beautiful bath and bedrooms on offer ; I will be back! February 2016
“like staying with friends”
Comfortable family home with a friendly welcome, we stayed for 3 nights and this proved the perfect base for exploring this part of Dorset. The coast is a 15 minute drive for spectacular scenery and cliff top walks, there are some beautiful gardens, historic houses and castles, not forgetting the world renown primate rescue centre Monkey World. The bedroom we stayed in was large with a lovely window seat, ideal for planning days out before breakfast. The bathroom was separate (fluffy robes are provided), the fittings are of the highest quality and there’s no shortage of hot water. Caroline cooks fabulous breakfasts on the aga whilst you tuck into cereal or fresh fruit (zero food miles, straight from the garden!). These are served at a large table in the kitchen where you get a chance to chat to other guests or the family, perfect for swapping ideas of places to visit. We were able to find excellent pubs/ restaurants within walking distance of Highfield House, although, on Caroline’s advice I booked The Salt Pig in advance as it’s very popular. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Highfield House.

Wonderful warm welcome from Caroline and family. Comes highly recommended. Wareham is a lovely location and so many things to do. Market day was great. Lovely walks by the sea and also inland. Great walk along the river. would have love to go in a cano but no time for more. We will be back soon. Peter and Marjan
Lovely comfortable family home with excellent bedrooms. Very warm welcome. Highfield house is an excellent location, walking distance from the town; shops, restaurants, boats on the river, market. Beautiful sea and countryside close by.
